Alltec’s DIN mounted KSB 50 1T 255V LED lightning arrester modules are IEC 61643-1 defined as Type
1 surge suppressors designed to protect at Main Distribution panels located in areas that exhibit a high risk of being directly struck by lightning. They employ multiple encapsulated spark gap components to deliver high capacity equipotential bonding contingencies
for lightning induced current at a facility’s electrical entrance. They are recommended for use at the boundaries of LPZ0A-1 defined Lightning Protection Zone exposure areas. This SPD model can be installed ahead of the electrometer per VDN Directive, 2nd Edition 2004 (TAB 2000).
They are equipped with red and green LED indicators that are driven by an open collector output “opto” circuit to indicate their operational status. They are also outfitted with a transistorized signaling circuit to remotely alert their users to any functional disruptions.
KSB 50 1T 255V LED protection modules are intended for use on TNC type electrical distributions. Three (3) modules, one per phase, are required to fully protect upon a three (3) Phase, TNC grounded electrical distribution. This SPD model can also be used in conjunction with Alltec’s KSB 110 1T 255V NP surge suppressor to protect on TNS and TT grounded electrical distributions.
